Christopher Muneza seems bent on leaving an indelible mark on the East African music industry . Famously known simply as Christopher, the Rwandan R&B talent who turns 24 on the 30th of this month has just dropped his latest single to usher in the new year.
The youngest contestant on the third season of the Bralirwa’s Primus lager sponsored annual reality singing competition –Primus Guma Guam Superstar – Christopher was born to Butera Juvenal and Gahongayire Marie Mativitas, the third child of six. He reportedly started singing while still in primary where he was part of the choir.
At barely 15, the ‘Amahitamo’ crooner was already composing songs. He however hit the spotlight after the release of his debut album, ‘Habona’. Ever since, the talented artiste has undertaken projects with some of the biggest names in the Rwandan music, the likes of Tom Close, Dream Boys and Knowles.
He has also released a number of praise-worthy songs such as ‘Ishema’, ‘Sigaho’, ‘Babyumva’ and ‘Iri Joro’ – a collaboration with rapper, Danny Nanone.
On the platform of the largely successful music label, Monster Records, the talented songster comes through this time with a song we’re definitely tempted to call the perfect club starter. He titles this one ‘Isezerano’. As fans would expect, Christopher‘s smooth vocals beautifully lace the Made Beat produced 3-minute track to give us such a surreal audio experience.
