What has been cooking for a while now is finally done as South African singer, Tresor finally comes through with his long awaited “Nostalgia” project and it is fire.
In the making of this project, Tresor revealed that his goal was to create the kind of music in terms of quality that Fela Kuti, Hugh Masekela, Khadjah Nin and Papa Wemba made and to give music fans a taste of it and well, he does come really close to that in this new project.
“Silale”, the first song on the project, while it has been released before with him collaborating with The Soil on it, it still makes a lot of sense and is a classy African wedding song, the kind that Tresor has wanted to create for a long time.
Other songs on the project include “Aphrodite”, “Walk Through Fire”, “Electric Night” on which he collaborated with musical heavyweight, AKA, “Sema Aye”, “Kiss of Life”, “Nangoja”, “Njia Yetu”, “Sundown” and more and he brought the fire and energy on all of them.
Tresor is that artiste you can always count on to be distinct even when every other artiste is jumping ship sound-wise. He has stayed true to the sounds he is known for from the early days and we guarantee that both old and new fans will enjoy this project.
