KiD X – Thank Da King

It’s raining albums on the South African music front. We had Mlindo The Vocalist dropping his debut album “Emakhaya” and Kid X follows through with his own debut album titled “Thank Da King” to set the industry on fire.

It’s been a long time coming and he’s taken his time to cook it, but the good news is that the album is finally here and we get to groove to it. Kid X may have been doing music actively for around five years, but he’s only just blessing us with his debut album and judging by the quality, it’s worth the wait.

The album has songs like: “Spin”, “Stokvel”, “Ipati”, “Can’t Wait”, “I’m On This Paper”, “Get Up”, “Mzala Wam'”, “Diego Maradona”, “Jozi City Lights”, “Official”, and has artistes like Kwesta, Zingah, Yanga, Nota, Makwa, Demi Ma, Thee Legacy and a host of talented others adding spice to the album.

Bonginkosi Mahlangu known in music circles as Kid X is a south African rapper and performer. After storming the music industry with three consecutive number one hits on YFM’s Hot 9 Hip-Hop chart, Kid X was recommended by Teargas’ K.O. to Smashis during the formation of Cashtime Fam.

Cashtime Fam consisted of three members, AB Crazy, Smashis and Kid X and the trio made some good music before time and chance took its toll and they split to do their own thing individually. Kid X went his way too and thrived really well.

Over the years, Kid X has had several hit singles including “Aunty”, “Se7en”, “Thanx”and most anticipated South African single, “Pass n’ Special”. The ace rapper has also worked with notable artistes like ChianoSky, Kwesta and lots more.

This new album from Kid X spices up the weekend and you’ll be doing yourself a world of good by streaming and listening right away.
